I discovered . . .
*Curious, what does resilience mean to you?
*ONE YEAR LATER . . .
Dear World,
I am intentionally reposting the image above, an image that continues to ring loud today!
Physiology First posted the image on social media in April '21. I cringed. Resilience is a word we toss around as easily as ordering an Uber. However the truth is, the word “resilience” means withstanding or recovering quickly from a difficult condition. The act of recovering is to heal. When we break a bone, we know the healing process takes time, support, and strengthening the entire space around the injury.
If we are conscious about healing bones, we must be even more conscious about healing our mind. 🧠
In one year, we have seen drastic shifts in our collective’s mental, physical, social, and emotional well-being.
💡 Today’s youth express feeling disconnected, stressed, overwhelmed with checking the boxes, and navigating relationships. All the while, the one constant phrase, "I wish could take a break from life."
💡 Today’s adults continue to re-enter the workspace more regularly while playing old narratives that being seen is essential to maintain their job. All the while, workloads are even heavier than before the pandemic, commutes eat away at personal time, and the desire for authentic connection in and out of the workspace are at an all time high!
💡 Today’s COLLECTIVE desires healing from the evolutionary changes brought on by a pandemic and the myriads of divisions created among us.
For ALL OF US, regardless of age and the hats we (un)consciously wear, WE must choose to REFLECT on societal and systemic labels and limits. WE must pay attention to how often we look for a quick fix instead of actively working towards creating and fostering a MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY, and PHYSIOLOGICALLY healthy and safe space for ALL!
Friday, April 22, 2022 celebrates #earthday2022, a day that OPENLY asks us to pause, reflect, and take stock in our external environment. Today, though, is an opportunity for each of us to get curious about our internal environment.
1. Where am I putting my emotions?
➡️ Eating candy, biting my nails, negative self-talk, excessive sleeping, reacting and screaming
2. What can I shift to bring more calm and joy into my life?
➡️ Walk outside, exercise before work, play dates with friends, surround myself with elevating affirmations, conscious breathing breaks
3. How will I intentionally commit to ME?
➡️ Journal, accountability partner, phone alarms
🌟Remember, YOU CAN CREATE the world YOU crave! Everything is at your fingertips!

WHAT FAMILIES ARE SAYING ABOUT DEED®!
My son Samuel who is 9 years old had his very first live group call ever. When he was on the call, in his own words, he said to me he felt very nervous and shy. His feelings changed from anxious to feeling confident! Dana creates a sacred space for you to be seen and heard that supported not only my son but me as well to feel safe. For myself my first group call with Dana was so powerful. As she asked us all what compassion means to us she opened up a part of me I didn’t realize needed major attention. I became aware of the areas I get to give more focus and attention to which were self love and self acceptance. My one on one call with Dana was so heart centering. She created a space of pure unconditional love to be who you are, where you are, now. After our call ended I was left feeling and knowing that I was more than deserving to have a loving, joy fulfilling life! Dana is the sunlight and rainbows in this world. She is incredibly supportive and an uplifting influencer!
You are powerful, Dana! We are blessed because of the work you bring to the world. Thank you Dana!
Love,
Ashley and Samuel (age 9)
