{TONIGHT} Addiction, Mental Health, and YOUTH
Dear World,
While October is known as mental health awareness month, I’m curious what mental health means to you.
According to mentalhealth.gov, Mental Health is the interconnection between emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
#RealTalk: Interconnection is the critical ingredient for a healthy mental space. One disconnect can unravel the wholesome intention we all desire.
🍭As children, we may eat sugary snacks in excess when emotions are high.
💊As teens, we may learn about drugs that put us in a state of “calm.”
😒As humans, we may not know how our choices impact our life journey.
As a collective, we must remember that addiction and mental health enter AND exist in EVERY race, culture, age, ethnicity, AND sphere!
Please join moderator Stacy Helfstein, social worker and T'Shuvah Center board member, Rabbi Iggy, CEO and Founding Rabbi of T’Shuvah Center and myself for a two-part series as we provide an open and safe space for conversations involving drugs, alcohol, mental health, and trust.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT DEED!
I cannot tell you how much I love the work you do. Where were you when I was raising my kids and making all kinds of mistakes. They had a mentally ill father who had substance abuse issues and he is now deceased. I love you doesn’t begin to cover how I feel about you.
